Overview

Mystery Walk is an iOS app that generates walking routes and provides turn-by-turn navigation. We designed the app to keep data collection minimal and focused on route functionality.

Data We Use

• Precise location: used to start your walk, generate routes, and provide turn-by-turn navigation.
• Background location during active navigation: when an active navigation session is running, iOS may continue providing location updates so guidance remains accurate if the app is not foregrounded.

Third-Party Processing

The app uses Mapbox SDK/services for map tiles, geocoding, routing, and navigation. Coordinates and routing-related requests are processed by Mapbox to deliver these features.

Retention

The app keeps recent featured-point repeat suppression data only in memory for the current app process session. That session-only memory is cleared when the app process ends. The current runtime does not require account creation.

Telemetry Controls

Telemetry and attribution controls are provided through Mapbox built-in UI in the navigation experience.
